1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern the hire of The Warehouse Venue, located at 44 Pickering Street, Newton Park, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, 6001, together with the purchase of tickets to events hosted at the venue. By submitting an enquiry, confirming a booking, or purchasing a ticket, you agree to the terms set out below.
2. Enquiries & Quotes
Quotes issued in response to an enquiry are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. After this period, availability and pricing are subject to reconfirmation. A quote does not constitute a confirmed booking.
3. Securing Your Date
A booking is only confirmed once a signed booking form (or written confirmation) and a deposit of 50% of the total venue hire fee have been received. The date remains open to other enquiries until the deposit is paid.
4. Balance Payment
The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event date. Events remain provisional until full payment has been received, and we reserve the right to withhold access to the venue if the balance is outstanding.
5. Cancellations
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds of monies already paid are calculated on a sliding scale based on notice given: more than 60 days before the event, 75% is refunded; between 30 and 60 days before the event, 50% is refunded; between 14 and 29 days before the event, 25% is refunded; and within 14 days of the event, no refund is given.
6. Event Tickets
Tickets are non-transferable unless arranged with the venue in advance. No refunds will be issued within 48 hours of the event. Ticket sales are processed securely online at the time of purchase.
7. Noise & Curfew
All amplified sound must comply with the venue’s agreed noise limits and local municipal by-laws. Music and amplified sound must end by the curfew time agreed in writing for your event, typically no later than midnight unless otherwise approved.
8. Damage & Liability
The hirer is responsible for the conduct of their guests, contractors and suppliers, and for any damage caused to the venue, fixtures, fittings or equipment during the hire period. A refundable damages deposit may be requested for certain event types. The Warehouse Venue accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking or ticket purchase will apply.
